“Meggings” Are a Rising Style in Japan… Maybe Aoki Was on to Something

Posted in WTF by lunarskye | Tags: , , ,

Japan is no stranger to “interesting” fashion choices, and this is no exception really. Leggings for men, or as some like to call them “meggings,” have apparently been circulating around European fashion, but now according to Japan Probe, they are a hot item amongst the male 20 to 30 something crowd in Tokyo.  Basically long underwear coming in a variety of patterns, they’re usually worn under shorts or capris (another thing you don’t see men wearing very much). Check out some examples in the video after the jump. Read more »

Whoo hoo! The PS3′s getting Netflix!

In the past, I was kind of envious of the 360 (not having one of my own) for allowing users to insta-watch Netflix movies, but now it looks like come November the PS3 will be fitted with a similar launch application off of the XMB.  This comes a year after the partnership between Microsoft and Netflix made the feature available on the 360. Fedor vs. Rogers Set for CBS! Plus, TUF 10 Debuts

Posted in MMA by lunarskye | Tags: , , , , ,

Mark your calendars! It looks like come November 7th Fedor and Strikeforce will make their network TV debut on CBS. According to MMAJunkie.com, the deal was announced today, but it is yet to be determined where the event will be held and what other bouts will be on the official card alongside Fedor vs. Rogers.

The return to prime time network TV is pretty huge for MMA in general, and we can only hope that Strikeforce can capitalize on the opportunity and succeed where the EliteXC failed previously. Strikeforce has already had success with recent events broadcast on Showtime, and I hope they can keep the ball rolling. They’ve certainly been dealt a good hand with Fedor on board, so it’s not too surprising that they’re playing him out on a broader stage. I can’t wait to see what happens. Read more »

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm wallpaper

Looks like the land of Azeroth is primed to get a facelift, albeit a destructive one courtesy a whirling Maelstrom and bursting molten center. That’s right. After much World of Warcraft: Cataclysm speculation, as well as some leaked information, Blizzard went official with World of Warcraft: Cataclysm at this year’s Blizzcon letting loose a booming announcement trailer. This will be the third expansion following previously released Wrath of the Lich King and The Burning Crusade. Read more »
